My friends are rad!
My friends wanted to have a picnic in a field...but little ones have different ideas about life than we do, especially when bedtime is near. So we go with the flow :)
The wonderful thing about little kids is that spending time with them is so simple - you just have to get down to their level and let them roll and jump all over you like puppies.
Kirsten saved her baby buggy from when she was a baby - so beautiful!
So hard to catch this guy on film - on the run the whole time!
Gorgeous and sophisticated! When I look back at my own prom photos, I think I look like a nervous little kid. But these girls look confident and grown up and stunningly beautiful.
Attending prom with life-long best friends...you won't ever forget this time.
I wish you every good thing, and a future full of joy.
and some fun, because they are still in high school, just for a few more minutes...
and the blurred double bounce...i was not steady, thinking....don't...wreck...the...dress...they had it all under control.
Hello there beautiful girl.
This photo makes me think of The Lion King, when they sing The Circle of Life and lift Simba toward the sun. Such a great movie.
I can tell you that sitting like this is exactly the opposite of what two year olds want to do, generally speaking:
The first weeks at home with a new baby are amazing; a crazy blur of falling in love and finding new rhythms. I admire families who can invite me in to capture it, and I am thankful to be there. Getting ready for photos to be taken is likely one of the last things on the list: but how worth it. Babies are tiny for about half an hour, and then it's gone...
Thank you for having me in your home, again.
Big families are amazing.
Lots of love, lots of grace, lots of patience. And lots of crazy giggling.
and the happy addition of number five, a sweet dark haired boy.
the feet...oh their wonderful little feet...
already found his thumb:
and meanwhile, in other parts of the house:
Such a special place, their home. Thank you for having me in it.
They have twins, a boy and a girl who were almost four...if ever there was a recipe for a fun family, this is it.
girlfriend means business:
looking for the next adventure:
ah, airplane legs! excellent choice.
just played out:
the "nice" couples shot:
the real one: (i told you they were fun)
I take a lot of family photos where mum and dad have been married for several years. I ask them to, you know, show me a little romance. Oh, they invariably say, romance? What's that? Not any more...
Now tell me that isn't just a little steamy.
