Well, what better things have I to do, late on a Saturday night, then work on new workflow habits in Photoshop and post it here? Oh, middle age. How fun and exciting you are. A most recent photoshoot, and i'm working on some sharpening tools and other things...honestly. I'm so boring. EXCEPT when I'm on a photoshoot -then I am loads and loads of fun, for realz!!! No, really, it's a good time.
ok, i'm happy. Thank you for indulging me. There will be more soon.

I have been looking through all my summer photos and it makes the summer seem just around the corner. All the sunshine and kids in the water...so grateful for all the images, even if the sheer number of them is a bit...much. How many photos do you take a month? A year? People ask me that all the time, and it's in the tens of thousands, per year. Can you imagine? And I look at every single one. Oh...I'm heading off on a tangent.
The summer photos made me think that I should stop in here for a bit and share some summer sessions.
i dig this family.
i like feet. feet are neat. i take pictures of all the feet i meet. (forgive me. i have dr.seuss lovin little kids)
it's hard to take a bad photo of such gorgeous people. really.
I did this shot a lot this summer. It's kind of dramatic. Eyes are amazing.
dudes.
a beautiful girl.
little dudes.
the hike back to the house was just too far for these little legs.
These guys have a nice little groove goin on. There's always lots of laughing at shoots with this family, and i think that says everything.

This family and I had been trying to get together all summer, and I was really looking forward to it. I don't know them well but they really seem like a very cool family. A four kid family which always strikes a chord for me...teenagers, pre-teens, super smart parents, and all with a great sense of humor.
i always love this shot, no matter who you are. our arms belong around one another. that's why they're so long. it's true.
let me illustrate:
i call it the family sandwich. Teenage boys are never a huge fan of the family sandwich, but there are some things that you just have to be in. and this is one of them.
four gorgeous, funny, totally likeable kids:
This family is an Apple loving family (as in electronic gadgets, not the fruit. although they might love the fruit. i didn't ask :) ) So they wanted a photo with their gadgets, and we thought this would be ironic:
i made a fun little iPlayonWords with their last name for this photo and they made the best Christmas card EVER!! count yourself lucky if you get one :)
And then we had a little fun,
LOVE this one:
i had such a great time and came away with new friends - iDig it.

One year after this, she's turned one. A lovely afternoon with these gorgeous girls.
big, serious, brown eyes. She wasn't sure about me...she wasn't dishing the smiles until we got outside in the water and the bubbles.
(this is my absolute favorite shot of the year.)
I saw a quote that said something like: "my favorite place to be is inside your hug". yep.
now if that isn't a "i didn't do it" look, i don't know what is!
the kids always like the frames...must....get...in....the....shot....
dreamy. and dreamy:
A warm sunshiney afternoon, a glimpse of their day. Thank you for letting me see it.

a little girl arrives into this beautiful relationship...
they have been together many years, and they love each other so much. You don't have to ask - you can tell. They laugh together, and they are so gentle with each other. This was a treat for me, to witness this, and to take photos of their new baby - a whole new chapter in their life together.
i love this one. They are completely delighted by this little baby girl of theirs.
and there it is again - my great love of tiny baby feet. Especially in the hands of the people who love them.
Yep, that's a horse they're on. This family has a huge love for, and a huge talent with horses. I suspect baby girl will be riding before she walks. Here's proof:
Her two babies getting to know one another:
Hope you are having a fabulous summer guys. Thanks for having me in your home.
